What To Expect From The All-New Tata Nano EV
With the growing market for electric cars in India, Tata has become the largest car-selling company in this segment. Whether it's Tata Tiago EV or Tata Punch EV, the company focuses on bringing affordable electric cars to every household, playing a major role in promoting All Electric in India.
Keeping that in mind, it’s all set to make a grand entry into the automobile market. Although there aren’t many updates on its designs and features, there’s a lot to expect from this next-gen avatar.
Talking about its expected price, the Tata Nano EV will range between 6 lakhs and 9 lakhs. The production will be called Electra Nano EV.
The custom-built Tata Nano EV gets a 72-volt, three-phase AC induction model along with a lithium-ion battery pack. These will have the capability to generate 23 horsepower and 85 NM of torque.
The engine type is expected to be a clutch-free manual gearbox. The top speed of the car will be 160 km/hr. The Tata Nano EV comes with a forward-wheel-drive powertrain. It will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 10 seconds.
Considering the dimensions, the new Tata Nano EV will be 2497 mm in length, 1526 mm in width, and 2497 mm in height. The wheelbase will be 1600 mm with a ground clearance of 180 mm. The kerb weight of the car is expected to be 800 kg.
In terms of its design, the Tata Nano EV is similar to the regular Nano. But the upcoming official design is a bit different and will give a new, futuristic, and modern look. LED headlights with grills, updated bumpers with fog lights, and 15-inch alloy wheels will make it stand out. Forward sweeping group lines, tinted glass, rear LED tail lights, and rear fog lights are among the distinct designs.
As for the interior, the upcoming Tata Nano EV will have many standard features. Be it its spacious cabins, a new dashboard design, a powered steering wheel, a fully digital cluster, a dash-mounted touchscreen infotainment system with IRA-connected features, Apple Car Play, or the Android Auto Navigation System,. You may also find push-button start and stop, a wireless smartphone charger, power windows, adjustable seats, and a lot more.
The electric Nano will be equipped with standard safety features, including ABS with VD, an electronic stability program, traction control, brake assist, central locking, and a rear parking camera with sensors.
